Neglect
Facility staff members are responsible for meeting an elder's basic needs, including food, water, shelter, clothing, and necessary medical care such as turning and repositioning. Physical Abuse
The facility's staff should never abuse an elder. Physical action that causes harm include punching, slapping, pulling, shoving, and unnecessary use of restraints.
